News has resurfaced today of interest in Rangers’ Ianis Hagi from a host of European sides, keen to secure him for January.

Rangers’ Romanian star has enjoyed a strong 2021, and although no offers manifested in the summer that fit Rangers’ asking price for the attacker, said to be around £15M, there are no shortage of suitors.

Villa (of course), Galatasaray, Sevilla, Roma, Real Madrid, and Lyon are among those monitoring the 23-year old’s progress at Rangers, and naturally the Hagi name certainly gets global attention.

Hagi has had a strong calendar year, consistently delivering for the Light Blues while some around him were a little patchier, and it would be no surprise if a big club did indeed attempt to sign him up.

He has already established himself under new Giovanni van Bronckhorst as a first-team starter, something he wasn’t under the ex-boss, and is looking more cohesive with the team now as well.

We’ll see if any of these sides do actually make an acceptable bid in January.

  1. I don’t know where you get your news from but I’d be very surprised if any of those clubs were interested in Hagi. Maybe Galatasaray would be the exception based on family history. As for £15m absolutely no chance. I think Hagi is one we could easily do without and I’d take £6m.
