Steven Gerrard has delivered the news every fan wanted to hear confirming Ryan Jack is finally back in full training as of today and could be in contention for a start early next month.
Ibrox Noise sources had suggested concern he might not play again this year, but the Scotland international looks to be well ahead of the biggest worries and Gerrard confirmed that the former Aberdeen captain is back in full opposed training today and hopes to have him in the matchday squad come next month.
He said:
He added that it still requires a bit of care, and the management want him to get some training matches under his legs but with some luck and assuming he comes through that ok he’ll be back in a couple of weeks.
It’s a massive boost, because Rangers have desperately missed him, but even once he returns fit, there’s still a long way to go before the lad is fully match fit.
That’s something only playing competitive football can give him, and that will take a bit longer.
But this seems finally to be a light at the end of the tunnel at long last.
Welcome back, Jack.
