Connor Goldson today sidestepped the contract discussion by giving the same stock answer he did months ago to the subject cropping up.

The 28-year old was offered a good deal earlier this year but never accepted it, and the topic has swirled in the background for months since.

Asked August 6th if he was signing a new deal he said he hadn’t really spoken to his agent and he was focused on Rangers.

Asked today the same thing he said he hadn’t spoken to his agent or the club and he is focused on Rangers.

It’s an intriguing response, which begs the question of why there’s apparently no communication between the three parties on the topic.

But for Goldson himself, he appears to just be focusing on the job at hand and leaving the contract stuff to others to deal with.

We couldn’t tell you how this one is going to play out.

  1. We saved his career and now it’s 2 fingers up to the lot of us, l wish him and Tav to quickly fuck off in January, never rated either one of them

  2. If he genuinely hasn’t spoken to his agent in all this time then he needs to sack the agent as he isn’t doing his job. Either that, or Goldson’s lying. Simple.

  3. If he’s not signing a contract time to call back katic Jan and leave him to rot in reserves if its the fee we would be asking if he signed his agent could easily put in a £ to let him leave if needed. Times up get it awnserd rangers

  4. Why is it when players are reluctant to sign a new contract they are viewed as traitors. It’s their career and a fairly short one at that. Surely they are entitled to view their options and see what other offers are available. If he thinks he can play at a higher level then so be it. Personally I want to see players with ambition play for Rangers. After all most of the players we sign leave their previous club for exactly that reason and we don’t think badly of them.
