We’re laughing, frankly, at the opinions of some Rangers fans today who it must be said are clearly not blessed with a lot of grey matter, with some of the opposition we’ve received to our article pointing out Scott Wright’s weaknesses.

To be clear – we like him, we just think his ability is limited, and he is unlikely to be able to step up a level and hit the standards needed at this club.

However, the opinions disagreeing with this make us laugh, not because of the fact some fans do disagree (which is absolutely their right) but because logic and reasoning seem to have been forgotten in favour of hypocrisy.

The most common argument we get against our criticism of Wright is that he’s a ‘great young talent with his career ahead of him’. He’s 24.

From the same punters who have been slagging off Ryan Kent all season as being ‘p*sh’. He’s also 24.

So, let’s get this straight – Wright has his whole career ahead of him and he’s an outstanding young talent, while Kent is a load of cr*p?

Do some Rangers fans think Wright is 19 and Kent’s 27?

Wright has clear limitations and in 9 months has never come close to lighting Ibrox up the way Kent did at a much younger age.

We like Scott’s work ethic, his attitude and his commitment, but please don’t use his age or potential as a reason he’s better or even as good as Ryan Kent.

Because it just makes you look like a misguided hypocrite.
