Aston Villa and Newcastle are the latest names linked to contract rebel Glen Kamara after the Fin continued to stall on a new deal despite media claims from ITKs weeks ago that he’d agreed to sign.

The 25-year old, whose performances for Rangers have rarely been out of third gear for as long as we can remember, stood out wonderfully for his country at the Euros, showing what he’s capable of at his best, and it’s alerted a tonne of attention down south and on the continent, with the Birmingham giants and Steve Bruce’s side said to be interested.

His fee has been roundly quoted at around £10M, with 4 days left of the transfer window, albeit Rangers would certainly expect a higher sum into the £15M range if he did move on.

Kamara has an easier choice to make now in truth – PL or UEL.

Rangers are indeed secured with European football this season but once again it’s only UEL level, rather than the CL which would have seriously tempted him. Kamara has now done everything he could have at Ibrox outside CL and there’s no sign of a signature despite those claims of a consensus on his part.

It does mean he’s vulnerable, but with only those four days left of the summer window time is running out to secure new signings.

Mind you, if Ronaldo can just walk away from a deal and sign for a new club in a matter of 24 hours, anyone can do it…

  1. If he leaves fine , but we need to go for as much money as we can get. If he goes to either ,Villa or the Geordies he still won’t ever get CL or UEL either???
