Borna Barisic has been axed from today’s squad to visit Dingwall as Steven Gerrard sticks mostly with the same XI that struggled v Alashkert.

Scott Wright misses out through injury, and Nathan Patterson remains on the bench. Filip Helander, despite impressing midweek, loses out to Leon Balogun, while Ianis Hagi makes it to occupy the right flank.

There’s a return for Glen Kamara in midfield, with struggling John Lundstram benched.

The continuing players are McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, Bassey, Davis, Aribo, Morelos, Kent and Hagi, with just those two changes, one enforced.

The big talking point remains the continued selection of Kent – despite his being off form and Hagi making it, Stevie didn’t elect to switch the winger with Kemar Roofe who is certainly ready for action.

Despite Stevie’s words before the weekend, Kent remains in place, and we can only hope he finds form for what could be a tricky afternoon up north.
