In an action-packed update from Sky Sports Scotland sources, it has been confirmed that contrary to media reports, Borna Barisic IS attracting interest from Europe but Roma definitely aren’t one of the sides ready to pounce.

The Croat appeared to say his goodbyes at the end of the Old Firm, and the story since has been twists and turns, but his family’s testimony last night did only reject Roma as a destination and not outright his leaving Rangers period.

In other news, interest is strong in Alfredo Morelos and Glen Kamara, and Rangers are on standby to replace the Fin in particular today if he does indeed make a move out of Ibrox on deadline day.

Next up is Brandon Barker – the winger may be freed but whether it’s a permanent exit or loan, he’s surplus and isn’t in Steven Gerrard’s plans at all.

Lastly, Niko Katic – the big Croat is likely to go out on loan, with one potential destination being back home with Hadjuk Split, and he isn’t immediately in Rangers’ plans before next year thanks to that injury.

The one raising the eyebrows the most is the imminent bid expected for Glen Kamara, which could see the 25-year old the high-profile exit at the end of the window.

We’ll have more as it comes in.
