Ryan Jack and his Wednesday injury d-day
GLASGOW, SCOTLAND - FEBRUARY 21: Ryan Jack of Rangers leaves the pitch after suffering an injury during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Rangers and Dundee United at Ibrox Stadium on February 21, 2021 in Glasgow, Scotland. Sporting stadiums around the UK remain under strict restrictions due to the Coronavirus Pandemic as Government social distancing laws prohibit fans inside venues resulting in games being played behind closed doors. In all the comedy over Celtic’s dismal Danish adventure, the Ryan Jack story rather got forgotten by all and sundry, amidst the midfielder’s consultation with a specialist yesterday.

Indeed, Wednesday’s trip to the surgeon’s was to be Jack’s big day, finding out if he could finally get the green light for training again. For, as Stevie put it, full on opposed training.

Unfortunately, at the time of writing (20:38), there has been no indication whatsoever of any good news at all. Now, they say no news is good news, but in this case that doesn’t apply. If it was a positive update we’re certain there would have been something confirming the happy ending.

As it is, we can only guess, and we would only find out with the rest of you via training photos confirming whether or not he’s fully rejoined the group.

Unfortunately, despite a confirmation from Stevie that the news was coming yesterday and was hopefully the green light for his return to training, we’ve heard nothing and can only wait like you to see if he’s included in the next set of training pics or the next match squad.

We’re not getting our hopes too high through, and can only cross the fingers and hope he heard what he wanted to hear.
