He wants Kamara it seems....

Premier League Watford have reportedly begun negotiations over a move for Rangers’ Glen Kamara, who is valued around at least £15M, adding the PL new boys to the list which already includes Leeds and Arsenal.

If the price is right Kamara will definitely have a decision to make – stay at Ibrox for 56 and CL, or get the PL immediately and have Man Utd and Man City every other week.

The Finn, whose stock rose considerably on Saturday night following a polished debut in the Euros, is certainly Rangers’ most vulnerable asset at the moment, with the ex-Dundee man only saying he was a Rangers player ‘unless told otherwise’.

He admitted the CL is a huge carrot, but clearly so is the PL.

It boils down to which Promised Land is more appealing to him – the Premier League or the Champions League.

And if we’re honest, a player of his age is probably going to pick the higher wages down south plus the guaranteed 40 matches at a level infinitely higher than the SPL. The CL will only offer a guaranteed 6 top class group matches plus those two qualifying ties.

CL is a big temptation, but up against the PL and a concrete offer, we don’t think it can compete.

Kamara has done everything at Ibrox now, all of these players have – and while the CL is a huge carrot the PL offers the huge wages and the guaranteed level of competition weekly.

But, end of the day it boils down to what the player wants.

We’ll find out in due course.
