Rangers’ attacking midfielder Kai Kennedy is said to be close to a loan move out again this summer.

The 19 year old winger/attacker was the source of a tonne of controversy a year or so ago over the ‘ego gate’ and ‘bad advice’ when he rejected a Rangers offer, but following the resolution of this he had a bright spell at ICT and then Raith and looks like he will be going out again.

Of course, this isn’t the best news for him – it’s the point at which he would expect to have a chance at Rangers’ first team, but as Ibrox Noise has said before, any player who goes out on loan isn’t in the manager’s thinking and never will be.

Of course, Kennedy did accept the new deal, and clearly the Academy rated him enough to offer him a deal, but we can’t see Gerrard changing the habit of his management lifetime and giving the kid a shot.

It’s just not his way – if you’re out on loan, you’re not in Stevie’s thinking.

At least, that’s been the absolute consistency up to this point.

The latest club on loan is said to be SPL, but we’ll let you know more as we get it.
