Rangers could be set to lose out on Glen Kamara after failure to sign a new deal as the midfielder entered the final two years of his deal.

His contract has until 2023, but despite his eagerness for a new contract as reported by Steven Gerrard, Kamara is yet to agree to the offer he’s received and appears to be swayed by interest down south.

In truth, Kamara is probably the most vulnerable to sale of Rangers’ entire squad, and most likely to secure the club a huge profit – it was strongly suggested he would be the asset to leave this summer, and many fans have been a little less anxious about him moving on than anyone else.

In terms of the price he could fetch, his current failure to sign a new deal sadly dampens the number a little, which is a little disappointing from the Finland international who owes Rangers and Steven Gerrard absolutely everything.

While the ex-Arsenal kid will still get Rangers a great profit, his market value having signed a new deal would be a lot higher than it is with just two years left on his current, but that said he could still earn Rangers well over £15M.

Rangers are not in a position they need to sell, and will not be held to ransom by weak bids.

We’ll see how this story pans out.
