Promotion pushing VfL Bochum have joined the growing list of sides linked with a serious interest in £15M-rated Ianis Hagi, after the German giants’ likely rise to the Bundesliga came with improved finances and a move to improve their squad.

Lazio, Sevilla and Real have already registered an interest in the attacker, and if a bid acceptable to Rangers comes in, his departure is definitely possible, and these are all clubs who can certainly afford the playmaker.

It is an expanding group of sides, and we doubt we’ve heard the last of it either – the Hagi name is significant and the kid is well-rated after his decent season in Govan, with one of the highest assist levels in the league.

That kind of football intelligence is very desirable in his position and quality continental sides appear ready to swoop for him, despite claims Rangers would accept just £4.5M, it’s understood he’d fetch a fair chunk more than that.

We’ll see what transpires over the coming week, with the window less than a month away.

  1. I’d take £6m and be pleased we doubled our money. £15m is fantasy. For instance the outstanding Nicolae Stanciu of Sparta Prague is valued at around £6m and I’d take him every day of the week (notwithstanding issues with Sparta Prague).
