We have to admit we have been living the dream for the last few months, coz we already knew we were league champions.

But the haters just could not let go, and we should have known that they were sitting there ready with their pens, to blow up every single thing to the word ‘riot’, ‘carnage’, or ‘thugs’.

Just now you would think Glasgow was under siege and we had destroyed half the city, and the hospitals were full with wounded grannies, and the army had been sent to Glasgow to bring order to the streets of Glasgow.

C’mon give us a break.

The fact is there were some isolated incidents, which we cannot and do not condone.

Covid restrictions are being lifted in many areas of the world, so screaming about Covid rule-breakers is stupid,

….and sadly, one fan had an accident with a flare, and that will leave him scarred for life .

But the vast majority of the fans behaved themselves. Out of thousands of fans, there were only a few who caused problems, and these will have to be investigated.

In fact, the amount of trouble we saw (which again we do not condone) was less than what you normally see at a Celtic match! It was certainly no worse than their assaults on police and their own manager last year during the protests.

But do we see level-headed reporting in the news…..

Not a chance

They (the politicians, the bloggers, and those who write for the big tabloids) just want to bash the club and anyone who supports Rangers.

And nothing get clicks better than a headline that says blood and carnage on the streets of Glasgow.
