Who’s who of Rangers sales targets – and how much
GLASGOW, SCOTLAND - OCTOBER 29: Alfredo Morelos of Rangers celebrates after scoring his team's first goal during the UEFA Europa League Group D stage match between Rangers and Lech Poznan at Ibrox Stadium on October 29, 2020 in Glasgow, Scotland. There’s been so much talk of Rangers selling a major asset or two, Ibrox Noise wanted to look at exactly who is most likely to be shipped this summer and what we could expect.

With a glut of top players worth serious money now, Rangers do not have to sell to lowball bidders, and we take you through the top numbers Stevie could reinvest in the playing squad and who’s most likely to fund that.

James Tavernier’s chances of being sold took a massive nosedive with his new deal. There is interest in him, but he’s happy at Ibrox and there’s talk he wants to play his career out here. Any bid to change that would have to be in the £30M range – he’s critical to this manager. Sale likelihood 2/10

Connor Goldson is also interesting sides, but there’s word he’s going to sign a new deal too – he’s pivotal to Stevie’s system like Tav is, and his value to Rangers is more than his actual market value. He’s probably a £10M defender tops, but Rangers wouldn’t sell for less than £25M. 1/10

Filip Helander got linked with a glut of sides down south – he’s not said to be thrilled that he can’t hold down a place at Ibrox and despite his brilliant CV and having proven his worth, he’s not a mainstay. His value is about £15M given his resume. 7/10

Borna Barisic has seen talk of a move quieten – he’s a guaranteed starter for his country and his quality is undeniable – but he’s signed a new deal and Rangers have secured protection as a result. Roma still looking at him but the chances now of a big money sale have really gone down. His value is about what Arsenal paid for Tierney, marginally more. But we don’t think he’ll go this summer. 4/10

Glen Kamara is subject to a tonne of interest – probably Rangers’ most coveted asset in terms of value, potential, you name it. The Finnish international might be in the news for the wrong reasons these days, but his playing reputation remains pretty much intact and Rangers will command top dollar for him. Certainly at least £30M. 7/10

Ianis Hagi is interesting Lazio mainly, but Real Madrid are there too – the Romanian had a season similar to Ryan Kent, and the Italians are reportedly ready to bid about £10M+ for him. Rangers can get more, but the stories linking him away don’t want to quit. 6/10

Ryan Kent had a great season – amazing start, little lull in the middle then a barnstorming finish, the winger has been a long term target for Leeds and they’re in the hunt for serious signings this summer. After costing £7.5M, Rangers would be looking for 2 to 3 times that in terms of selling. 5/10

Alfredo Morelos of course is a massive target – he wants his move, and a fair few teams want him in kind. Lille remain heavily interested, as do a few PL sides and other continental mobs. Because of his desire to leave, Rangers won’t get his true market value, but are on record as saying they want at least £20M. And that’s fair. 9/10

By no means are we suggesting all of these will be sold, but one or two almost certainly will be.

It’s a case of the right deal at the right time for Rangers to continue building for next season.
