On a lighter note, still on the topic of Kemar Roofe, the former Anderlecht striker, despite a season derailed by suspension and injury, has seen his market value hike from the reported £4.5M Rangers paid to a near £6M for his goal return in his first season at Ibrox.

The ex-Leeds man has been in stark focus in many ways; the goals, ‘that’ goal, the unfortunate moment v Praha, and the recent racism scandal he’s suffering – and all of these have earned him a place in the spotlight and a raised market value, spiking him well above what Rangers paid for him.

He’s proven himself a fine addition overall, with plenty goals and that memorable strike in Belgium, even if his maiden season has been a bit of an injury nightmare.

And with his market value into the £6M range, the forward is also on the verge of finally playing for Jamaica, with reports he’s working on preparing himself to start putting on the Reggae Boyz’ shirt for the first time.

Over time, if the lad can stay fit and keep scoring, he will certainly eke close to the £10M range.

But that’s for another day.
