Interest in Glen Kamara has intensified after PL giants Leeds United were added to the growing list of suitors wanting to take the Finland star south this summer.
Already a subject of interest from Southampton, Brighton, Arsenal and Everton, Kamara is a coveted player down south, and of course the Gunners know him well from his time there as a youth graduate before his move to Dundee.
But it’s the emergence of Leeds as yet another big player from England’s top flight that threatens to hike Kamara’s value in the market place well beyond the £20M range, and potentially the £30M range too.
As we discussed yesterday, Rangers will almost certainly be selling at least one prized asset this summer to streamline the books and quite simply also because the selling cycle has been stunted since the last big-money sale of Carlos Cuellar in summer 2008.
We don’t count Nikica Jelavic as we didn’t profit from that fraudulent sale.
But if Kamara is to be the man, Leeds, Arsenal, Southampton, Brighton and Everton all have their eyes on him, to name just five, but we know a lot of continental clubs are monitoring him as well.
Expect a tonne more interest as the year advances.
