Unfortunately we’ve been warning you of this, and today it’s been confirmed. Ryan Jack is out for the season, out for the Euros and while his issue has finally been found, he won’t be available for Rangers again until next season.

It’s a real tragedy, but sadly a predictable one, and to say the lad is devastated is an understatement. There had been some slim hopes that he could reappear before the end of the season, but Jacko is now out till July, and having finally got himself into the Scotland picture as a first-pick, he will now miss out on what may be his only career chance to ever play at a major championship.

It couldn’t have happened to a more undeserving player – anyone who knows him knows how focused he is, how diligent, and of course, how much of a bluenose he is.

This will have killed him – the only light at the end of this tunnel is identifying the calf issue plaguing him recently and finding the right treatment.

But he’ll have to go under the knife for that, and he has some dark days in the months ahead.

Watching Scotland at the Euros will break his heart, but the solace is a fit Ryan Jack can play a big big role in helping us to 56.

And… he can play in the Champions League for the first time in his career.

If Jacko had had to choose between Champions League at Ibrox and playing for his country at the Euros…?

Only he knows the answer.

But get well soon, one of our own.

  1. I am really disappointed and have real sympathy with Ryan he’s a superb player and a True Blue . Ian still dissatisfied with Clarke’s mismanagement of him that may have contributed to this situation . He will be sadly missed by us especially for the OF games he loves, he will also be sorely missed by the Scotland Team as he is a well liked member of that squad , contrary to those SNP green leaning shower /army ? that treat him with no respect , arseholes. Please get well soon Ryan for 56 and Champions League we’ll need you for sure.
