The summer transfer window is underway in earnest with the confirmation Arsenal are ready to make their move on former player Glen Kamara and sign him this year.

The midfielder, 25, has been in exceptional form this season, even despite playing a little within himself, and Mikel Arteta is in a serious mind to bring him south for a proper crack at the Premier League.

After his predecessor bought Kieran Tierney from Celtic for £25M, it’s evident the Finnish international will not go cheap, and despite mischevous claims he will fetch around £10M-£15M, Rangers seek more for a player widely regarded to be one of the club’s most valuable assets.

Indeed, Rangers would be looking for close to what Parkhead indeed received for their left back, with the widely-accepted belief Kamara is more than good enough for the PL, which, in fairness, Tierney is too.

Rangers would be expecting a ballpark of £25M for Kamara, who of course remains at the centre of a racism controversy involving Slavia Praha’s Ondrej Kudela, but the former Dundee man has been quiet about his future and has let others around him do what they need to do.

Arsenal are in a mediocre place and are looking to boost their fortunes – players of the calibre of Kamara are certainly the right step forward and Rangers are widely expected to sell one or two assets this summer to balance the books.

He’s a player who has done things the right way so we’d wave him off with our blessing and one hell of a profit.

  1. Of all the players that we now hold at Rangers now who are proper cash saleable he is probably the one we could comfortably let go now. The other assets like Morelos Barasic Goldson Kent for example would need instant replacement . Agree £25 million at least .
