Steven Gerrard has given a positive injury update on Ryan Jack, and it appears Rangers’ stormtrooper midfielder is on the verge of returning.
The former Aberdeen man picked up a bleed on his calf some weeks ago, and has been in recuperation ever since, but it is Stevie G himself who has delayed the midfielder’s return and not Jac, after the medical team gave the player the all-clear to come back.
Gerrard explained that the injury is a bit different this time, and he wants to make absolutely sure the 29 year old is absolutely 100% ready, and so for the trip to Prague, Rangers will not be making use of his services.
It means the chances of Jack being fully healthy when he finally comes back are 100%, with no risk of a breakdown again, and also gives Rangers a stronger position.
This is wise management from the boss – we have the resources in midfield to cope without him, and it’s better we get a fixed Jacko rather than a broken one.
