Shock horror – we’ve got a match on Thursday!

Following two days of celebrations over 55, the players, who sure as sh*t let their hair down over the weekend now have to immediately get right back into the zone to prepare for the trip to the Czech Republic.

We’ve enjoyed securing that fabled 55, but as Stevie G said:

“I’m hungry for more, and I hope the players are too.”

That means, for a start, Thursday. And a really hard trip to an in-form Slavia Praha side who have a domestic record similar to ours, if slightly inferior on the European front.

But Rangers players, having indulged over the weekend, literally have to reset. 55 is done, and can be fully savoured over the coming months – but the here and now sees Rangers requiring to progress in the UEL to the last 8, against a side it can be achieved through, but who will make it far from easy.

And if our players’ heads are still in the weekend, even an iota, come the first leg half way through this week, we will be literally slaughtered mercilessly.

Stevie G has worked miracles, and he wants to see more, and he wants to see us go further in the UEL than we ever have.

But it’s critical the squad (and indeed Stevie himself) hard reset, get back into the zone, and prepare with guts and heart to face Slavia Praha this week.

A flat display over there would be something of a buzzkill, and we really do want a quarter final place.

Stevie certainly does, and he’ll expect the lads up and ready for it.
