In a dangerous and slightly depressing development, Celtic fans have flagrantly ignored their club’s warnings about gathering at Parkhead in favour of throwing the warning back and changing it to demanding the club doesn’t deliver a Guard of Honour.
If we ever had any doubts how pathetic these fans are, they prioritise their own ‘dignity’ over the health of the nation, and have swatted away the club’s admittedly watery warning in favour of demanding the GoH be scrapped.
Meanwhile Rangers fans acknowledged our club’s extremely vivid warning entirely, and replied in our droves to express that.
It’s just another example of how those in the east never think the rules apply to them – they will need to get their act together now that Uncle Peter is stepping down/gone because the rules very much apply to them – even if they think they’re above them.
And before any Rangers fans suggest ‘who cares, let them all infect each other’ – bear in mind thousands of Celtic fans can potentially infect many, many other people who are not fans – and while our piece on the numbers impact on Rangers was slated, if you deny a gathering is dangerous, whatever the shirt colour, you’re frankly a bit in denial.
Anyway, Celtic fans demonstrating they’re hardly the brightest, and certainly the most bitter. Usual stuff really.
