Mystery surrounds the future of 18-year old rising star Nathan Young-Coombes whose situation has been a bone of contention for the best part of two years.
Previously leaving last summer due to home sickness, the attacking playmaker remained at Ibrox instead, continuing to turn out for the Dev Squad/Reserves in a surprise move given how certain his return south had been.
And more recently reports have claimed he’s leaving Rangers THIS summer on a free to Brentford, with claims made that West Ham missed out on him, but the player himself appears to disagree, speaking as recently as last Spring about how happy he is at Ibrox.
Furthermore, the claims of his exit to Griffin Park also include the assertion he’s leaving for their B team.
None of this makes a lot of sense.
Look what he said only last Spring:
Furthermore:
In short, everything Young-Coombes has said suggests he’s happy to wait for his chance, and remain at Ibrox, and at only 18 he’s got plenty of time to develop then break through when he’s ready.
So why so many reports allege an exit, we’re not absolutely sure.
