Rangers are reported to be monitoring the progress of Israel attacker Dolev Haziza.

The 25-year old isn’t a pure winger as many outlets claim, but is just a utility forward like Kemar Roofe, mainly known for being an AM but also comfortable on the left or right, not unlike Scott Wright as well.

Out of contract in summer 2022, the £1M rated playmaker’s career is a very modest one, never having played outside of his homeland halfway into his twenties, and just two caps for his country does suggest he’s not exactly broken through at that level.

This is a tad concerning given the quality of the Israeli side is hardly Belgium, but hey ho.

In terms of numbers, it’s modest again. He has 28 career assists in 153 appearances (just 20 goals), which at a level well below the SPL is not terribly inspiring. Israel have just two decent teams, Haziza’s own Haifa, and Tel Aviv, and the Premier League there is more akin to Scotland’s Championship outside of these two.

So for a target to be only modest at that level isn’t too exciting and we feel we already have better than this.

But if Stevie really is interested, we kowtow to his judgement…
