Rangers last night took our biggest step towards 55 without even kicking a ball.
Celtic, once again hapless and haphazard, could only stumble to a barely-deserved draw against ruthlessly in-form Livingston, leaving yet another woeful waste of a game in hand.
We were always amused in weeks gone by, the number of Rangers fans who urged a note of caution that Celtic had these ‘guaranteed’ 12 points in their locker, and they would be a massive obstacle between Rangers and our rightful title this season.
It turns out, as we could have told you, that they’ve already wasted two of them and can only possibly accumulate 6 points at the most now, with the gap now comically at 20 points, and ‘theoretically’ at 14.
Neil Lennon’s side has deeply embarrassed itself on every level this season and Rangers have done themselves and their manager, not to mention our fans, incredibly seismically proud.
But with that stumble last night, it pretty much sealed the title for Rangers, as if there really was any room for thought otherwise.
Some fans have spoken to us citing how only in the last week have they become truly confident of 55.
In truth, many of us on Ibrox Noise have been confident since autumn. Not being arrogant, but confident.
It is plain how much better Rangers are than Celtic, and while we can afford the occasional ‘Motherwell’, or even a few, Celtic couldn’t already afford a single further slip up.
They have already violated that several times, and now we simply count down to 55.
WATP.

How about a campaign to let off fireworks at a given time on the day we win 55. WATP
Like yourselves I’ve always felt confident regarding this season. Last season we proved against them that we had the best starting 11 but we needed reinforcements in order to rely less on one man. The fact we have had various injuries to several personnel over the season but have rarely dropped points shows how far this side has come. Roll on 55.
