A surprise start up front for Rangers? Motherwell preview
GLASGOW, SCOTLAND - NOVEMBER 22: A general view outside the stadium prior to the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Rangers and Aberdeen at Ibrox Stadium on November 22, 2020 in Glasgow, Scotland. On Sunday we travel to Fir Park to face 12th placed Motherwell. New manager Graham Alexander will have his sights set on being the first team to defeat Rangers this season, but Rangers manager Steven Gerrard remains confident of a routine victory.

Rangers come into this game on the back of 15 wins on the bounce in the Scottish Premiership whereas the opposition have only picked up 4 points in their last 11 games.

Last time out against Motherwell it was a tough fought 3-1 victory at Ibrox where Rangers struggled to break down the 5-5 formation of the Steelmen that day who nicked an early goal. However Rangers started to mount pressure late on and with Kemar Roofe finding the net in the 73rd minute and Cedric Itten nodding the ball home 9 minutes later, Motherwell struggled to find their way back into the game before Kemar Roofe sealed the victory with a goal in the 94th minute.

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard announced in his press conference that Kemar Roofe, George Edmundson and Scott Arfield will be unavailable. Gerrard also revealed that it will be touch and go for a return to action for midfielder Ryan Jack.

We could see a first start in 7 for Swiss striker Cedric Itten who has certainly proved he can find the net against Motherwell with 3 goals in 2 substitute appearances against the Steelmen.

Although, there is no game this coming midweek so Gerrard might feel that he does not need to make any changes from the Aberdeen game especially with players such as Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent showing promising signs of a return to old form.

I predict a comfortable 0-3 victory for the league leaders with goals from James Tavernier, Connor Goldson and Alfredo Morelos.
