Shock Rangers stat provides official reason for recent form dip

If Rangers fans ever felt Ryan Jack wasn’t a massive miss through injury, a shock stat today has confirmed a truly extraordinary turn of events with and without the Scotland midfielder.

With Ryan Jack in the team, Rangers haven’t conceded a single SPL goal this season. In his absence, they’ve conceded 5 in 5, with just one clean sheet in there.

Jack’s absence has accounted for a great deal of the dodgy defending we’ve been seeing lately, as attacks have gone right through the middle with no one properly covering diagonals or midfield strings.

As brilliant as Kamara and Davis are, pure defending isn’t their forte, and Jack’s contribution has been especially missed lately as goals leaked.

We’ve not even mentioned the calamitous St Mirren result which saw 3 goals conceded domestically when, till then, we hadn’t conceded more than one. And that one conceded? It was without Jack in the side too.

We at Ibrox Noise had also been guilty of underplaying Jack’s importance – if we want a tight defence and a midfield which knows how to protect it, Jack has to start.

  1. Said this the other day, Ryan Union Jack is the key cog in this side. We don’t tick quite as well without him in my opinion.
