A raft of clubs have now been linked with Glen Kamara amidst the Finnish international’s stunning season at Ibrox and skyrocketing value.

Benfica, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Brighton, West Ham, Marseille, Everton, Southampton and Sheffield United are only 9 of the clubs said to be monitoring his situation, and it’s clear the former Dundee man is a massively sought-after player who is attracting a lot of attention.

Of course, his excellent performance v Benfica, in both legs, naturally, has alerted the Portuguese giants to him, and PL clubs have also been monitoring him for some time.

There were also some very random claims from a questionable source that a couple of Russian clubs were looking at him as well. Or was it Ukrainian…

Either way, Kamara is hugely in demand, and his value is soaring as a result.

As Stevie would say, we want our players to be attracting this kind of attention as it shows they’re doing something right and we have prize assets on our hands.

But equally with his contract tight for another three years, we don’t need to worry about Kamara unless a colossal bid arrives and he genuinely wants to move onto pastures new.

But he doesn’t, and we’ll explain why in a later entry.
