Following Rangers slight quibbles in midfield with Ryan Jack’s fitness, Steven Davis’ age and Bongani Zungu’s yet to fully settle in, reports have increased over Sheffield United’s wantaway 26-year old midfielder John Lundstram, with claims he’s set to sign a pre-contract in January.

The former Oxford man with 44 PL outings in his career has become an absolute first choice at Bramall Lane and could walk in the summer for nothing as his deal expires, but Rangers are reported to be determined to enhance the squad with the in-demand 5ft 9’r.

Lining up again this afternoon v Leicester, Lundstram would be an excellent pre-contract and Bosman to secure, and would enhance the squad considerably, and with the Blades rooted to the bottom of the Premier League it does seem like the former England U21 international would appreciate a new challenge.

More as we get it.
