Steven Davis is not good enough to play for struggling Celtic, is the view of chief tim crazy Leigh Griffiths.
After a MOTM performance, world class in every way, the NI international, easily the most naturally fluid and composed midfielder in the country, wouldn’t get in ahead of any player at Parkhead.
Obviously, we know Griffiths is trying to play to the galleries, but given Celtic fans have given up on both their team and their management, it really is the most comical defiance we’ve ever seen.
In recent polls, Rangers players outranked Celtic by 8 to 1 in an ultimate XI for November, but according to the Thumb, not a single player from Kamara, to Tavernier, to Kent to that rather average Davis fellow would be able to get in their starting XI.
What is he on!
Look, we get it – saying anything positive about your city rival is baaaad. We understand that.
But Celtic fans aren’t (complete) idiots and they will read those comments from their frozen-out striker and wonder just what planet he’s on.
As Rangers stroll to yet another comfortable display against Ross County, who dumped Celtic only one week ago, we have to just sit back, relax, and maybe point and laugh at him a little.
And as Davis pulls out a truly wonderful performance, with some passing Celtic could only dream of, we are happy to say that Griffiths is correct:
There is no way Davis would ever play for Celtic.
If anyone knows anything about not being good enough to get into the Ceptic starting 11 then surely it is Griffiths himself.
