Earlier on we discussed Rangers’ links with England stars Dele Alli and Jesse Lingard.

The main curiosity we had was whether you were interested in these players, and we have to say the result is very, very clear.

44% of you wanted both players, but more tellingly, 37% of you wanted the Spurs man alone, with only 2% interested in Man Utd’s out-of-favour man.

But a pretty significant 18% of you didn’t want either of them.

The overriding response from Rangers fans we polled is no one seems to want Lingard, but a lot want Alli.

But we’d lake Lingard if we got Alli too. An overwhelming 81% definitely wants Alli, with Lingard an acceptable buddy.

Alli is, of course, a very talented player – it’s probably not a stretch to call him world class. But he’s not in big favour under Jose.

A loan north would be a very popular move clearly, as long as it’s within our wage structure.

Because, like it or not, he’d be by a distance the best AM at Ibrox, far superseding Hagi or Aribo.

If this is one we can make happen next month, we’d like it a lot.

  1. As far as I know the Dele Ali “story” came from an article where Danny Murphy said it would be a good idea for Ali to go on loan to Rangers. Unless you can tell me different then neither club or the player himself has remotely suggested such a move could take place. In which case I’m very surprised that you even mentioned it. After last nights disaster there are many more important things to talk about.
