These six forgotten men might feature for Rangers
Some of the kids who could play a part?

Rangers travel to Falkirk to face a home side who haven’t had their troubles to seek in recent times, but will enter today’s League cup looking to pose a problem for Rangers.

But just which fringe players are being looked at by Stevie G to make their mark on this one? Ibrox Noise takes you through everyone we think could play a role, either in the manager’s thinking, or on the pitch.

Greg Stewart.

Certain to be involved on some level, the versatile forward has been an honourable enough player at this club, but just hasn’t been of the quality needed this season. As the club stepped up, they left players of this standard behind, but the manager may well consider him for involvement today.

Glenn Middleton:

At training every chance, and does all the right things, but just isn’t getting any inroads to the squad, this young winger would gasp at the chance to be part of today, and we’d imagine the manager may look in his direction too.

Jamie Barjonas:

Involved in training and does get bench time, this well-rated young mid has waited patiently to get involved in matches again, after that initial breakthrough years ago. Maybe this is his day.

Nathan Young-Coombes:

This promising lad has had a lot said about him, and it would be a bit of a surprise to see him on the bench, but this league cup fixture might be the perfect chance to give him a taste.

Leon King:

Another one with a promising future, and another one who some fans actually had being heavily involved in this one. That might be a bit far, but we would have no complaints at him on the sidelines getting a feel for match day.

Dapo Mebude:

After his recent ‘publicity’ he’s certainly in some focus lately, but whether the young hitman might see some part in today’s match only Stevie knows.

The others, like Firth, Bassey and Hagi will be involved on some level too, but Nathan Patterson probably won’t be given he’s self isolating (a slightly overlook that on our team sheet yesterday).

We do look forward to seeing the final XI later.
