Rangers have been hit with a very minor injury concern after Steven Davis missed Rangers’ thumping of Hamilton.

The official line has of course been to save the midfielder for his country’s crucial upcoming clash, but information is he also has the most minor of tweaks and it was best to leave him out the home match on the basis of both.

Davis should be absolutely be fit for Thursday’s visit of Slovakia but he had the most tiny of fitness concerns v Hamilton so was left out – and Rangers certainly have enough cover as the 8-0 scoreline suggested.

But of course it was also done out of respect of the NI star’s international duties, and probably his last chance to feature at a major championship, having last done so in 2016, his only ever appearance at that level.

But Rangers fans will certainly be hoping this minor concern doesn’t become anything more significant because he’s crucial for club and country for quite a bit of time yet.
