If there was ever any doubt just how important Ryan Kent is to Rangers, yesterday’s critical stat of key passes would dispel it.

Yes, Kent scored a stunning goal, yes, he was in the middle of everything, but above it all, the fact the man nailed an outstanding 6 key passes on top of his 5 shots and 89% passing average shows just how vital the winger has become.

And all this despite the fact Utd’s luke Bolton tried to wreck his Achilles with a disgusting stud raker.

Kent just got on with it, and broke United back in the best way possible, with goals, damage, and critical passes which split the Arabs wide open.

It’s safe to say Kent’s value this season is legitimately into the £40M range.

Some of you may scoff and say ‘but he’s not done it against Celtic’. But he has. Several times.

Some of you may scoff and say ‘but he’s not done it in Europe’. But he has. Several times.

Some of you may scoff and say something else which we’ll ignore, but right now, Kent is in the form of his life, and added with his past CV demonstrating he can do it on every stage he’s been presented with it shows just what his stock to his club is.

There is no question he’s now priceless to Rangers – he’s delivering top class performances and destroying teams single-handedly.

And crucially, he’s happy here.

He’s happier than he’s ever been – he’s settled, his personal life is happy, and he’s completely rejected PL interest from a side who had the measure of Liverpool yesterday.

This is a lad who if anyone down south wanted to make a serious play for, we’d expect no less than £40M now.

He’s absolutely vital now to this club, and keeping him is key to 55.

  1. I would rather we did not even put a price on any of our players this season. Next summer, after 55 and the Euros, Kamara, Barisic, Morelos and perhaps Aribo and one of our Centre Backs will go. This will leave a massive rebuilding job to do, but if all 5 of them go we will have the thick end of £100 MILLION to do it with.
And good young players will see us as a stepping stone to glory and the riches of the EPL, so it will get progressively easier to recruit

  2. Here’s my scoff lol obout a week ago yous were valuing Kent at 25 million he goes out an plays the way you would expect of a good player against the likes of Dundee utd an his value goes up 15 million! How’s that even possible? Lol
