Rangers have been whispered in connection with a sensational move for Chelsea’s forgotten man Victor Moses.

The right winger/midfielder, 29, has been in loan hell for the majority of his time at Stamford Bridge, and the Nigeria international has a tonne of connections with Rangers and there are reasons to believe this could be a serious and feasible signing.

38 caps for his nation, Moses has been on the fringes in London for a long time, and of course fans reading this might wonder how Rangers could persuade such a name to switch the PL for the SPL.

The answer is surprisingly simple – Rangers have two Nigeria internationals on our books, and one of whom Moses knows especially well in Leon Balogun, having shared many international sides with the now Rangers defender.

Moses hasn’t featured for his nation since 2018, but whether the deal to bring him to Ibrox would be permanent or another loan (there is an issue of his wages for sure) it would be a fantastic signing that we’re sure many fans would be happy with.

World class player? We’d have to say he is.

Hopefully he’s someone Rangers can secure.

  1. A good player and I’d be happy to see him join us but he’s some way short of world class. But where would he fit in? Only place I could see him play is attacking right back, i.e. in place of Tavernier. Not sure Gerrard would do that and of course it could block the path of Patterson.
