Rangers have not lacked for injury troubles lately and Borna Barisic’s injury issues may have continued after Steven Gerrard confirmed a tweak against Willem II to compound the major knock he took on international duty some weeks ago.

Barisic went down in a heap upon a collision with Portugul’s Bruno Fernandes and gingerly got back to his feet, but sadly has been a little off the boil since then and hasn’t been able to produce his usual level.

And Gerrard has since confirmed Barisic has an issue fitness wise and was left out of yesterday’s trip to Fir Park, albeit was on the bench.

Naturally we hope this issue is manageable, and is nothing serious, but he’s clearly been carrying it a while and isn’t quite up to his normal level.

Hopefully he’ll be back in action on Thursday and playing at the level we more than known he’s capable of because he’s one of the club’s finest assets and Stevie relies on his crossing as a major weapon against the better teams.

An injury case we don’t need.

  1. Let’s hope Barasic will be fully fit soon. I’m concerned we have no updates on Roofe or Jack they have been missed . I hope we are still looking to strengthen the squad especially in the creative/midfielder area and if Alfredo goes another striker . I see Hibs didn’t lay a glove/boot on the rotten mob suprise surprise ! Onwards 55
