Following yet another comfortable win for Rangers this afternoon v Hamilton, a ridiculous stat has emerged to give some idea of just how good this Rangers team currently is.

After full time, with six SPL matches under our belt, Rangers had made 125 shots. 125.

The only disappointment here is that just those 125 shots have yielded only 11 goals.

But, equally, they’ve produced a nearly perfect 16 points from 18 to put Rangers clear at the top of the table with one game more than Hibs.

Even more stonking, Rangers have only had to face 17 shots in all six matches, and one of them was a wildly deflected effort today from Lee Hodson.

It adds up to one of the best SPL starts in Rangers’ history, the best since the 60s we believe, and you’d have to say, while it is early days, if Rangers can keep up this form and consistency, 55 will come home this season.

125 shots made, 17 shots faced.

It’s impressive.

We’ll have more reaction from today’s strolled win at New Douglas Park as we go, but things look kinda ok right now.
