On match day for Rangers, the transfer wheeling and dealing doesn’t take a pause.

Here’s all the relevant Rangers stories hitting the airways at the moment:

Lewis Ferguson:

It’s gone a little quiet on this one, but Rangers are still monitoring the Aberdeen midfielder. It feels like destiny to sign him, given his background, but the cost would the region of £3M and Rangers appear reluctant to part with that amount.

Daler Kuzyaev:

27-year old midfielder was linked out of nowhere by the Sun, but Steven Gerrard dismissed it borderline aggressively as nonsense. The Zenit mid has a decent career about him, don’t get us wrong, but not sure someone with a goal and assist rate as low as his is what we need for a dynamic midfielder at his age.

Ryan Kent:

We want to say this one is done and dusted but it was the Sun who claimed he’d rejected the claims of wanting to try Leeds, and they are sure reliable (!)
Manager Steven Gerrard has extolled Kent’s performances this season, but don’t think we’ve heard the last of Leeds’ interest.

Jamie Murphy:

Linked to Motherwell and Hibs lately, Gerrard has effectively confirmed the winger is finished at Ibrox, in his usual polite way of bigging up another player (Kent). He even indirectly admitted Brandon Barker and even Jordan Jones are ahead of the former Brighton man. Sooner Murphy can find a new club the better for his career.

Crysencio Summerville:

18-year old Feyenoord winger – promising talent that we are hoping Dick Advocaat can help out with – Rangers are threadbare on the right wing, and an extra high quality body would be handy. Market value only said to be about £2M.

Bongani Zungu:

We included this one for laughs. This one is dead in the water – whether it’s over wages, or weight, Rangers moved on a long time ago. Not a player we’re interested in any more.

There’s probably a few bits and bobs more, but that’s the main ones for now.
