A return for fan-favourite? Liv v Rangers preview
Who will he go with....?

Rangers travel to Livi on Sunday and while last season we’d have feared this fixture and the tough Lyndon Dykes, Livi’s record reads 0 wins, one draw and two losses.

They sit third-bottom having shipped 7 goals already, and their form currently looks drastic.

But Rangers cannot be complacent – with the stricken Leon Balogun out, Alfredo Morelos out of form, and the two new strikers not yet up to speed, Rangers will require to be extremely wary of this wounded animal at Livi, because we know how tough they can be on their own patch and on that artificial surface.

Rangers have all the impetus – with Celtic out of action for an undetermined time, and current top of the table Hibs stumbling on Saturday, a win at Almondvale puts Rangers clear 2 points clear of Jack Ross’ men, and 8 over Celtic.

Steven Gerrard will have to put out a strong team, and with the start we’ve made, we would hope that would continue.

We expect Filip Helander besides Connor Goldson at the back, and we’re not sure both Aribo and Hagi will feature on this physical surface – more likely Aribo, and a small chance Scott Arfield might start this one.

Either way, another win would be a serious statement towards the league this season, and with every passing win, our fans can less dismiss our competence and start to believe it could be something special.

But we shall see.

  1. Morelos out of form, with 2 goals and 2 assists from 3 games?
Wow, wait until he hits form, then!
Think that is a little unfair.
btw, I would start Edmundson at CB today against Dykes rather than Helander on the plastic, but that is a personal opinion. Also like a bit of rotation to keep Edmundson involved and ready, and let Helander work his way in with the last 30 minutes once game is won
