Steven Gerrard completes fourth ‘signing’ of the window…

Rangers have ‘completed’ their fourth signing of the summer window with the extension of Florian Kamberi’s loan till at least the end of the Leverkusen clash.

The Albanian Swiss impressed with his loan spell in February, with one particularly stunning goal, and he’s been clear he wants to remain at Ibrox.

But Rangers bosses have been, as yet, unwilling to part with £150,000 for the striker on a permanent basis after lessons were learned from the likes of Brandon Barker and others that even a low transfer fee is a risk when it comes to a long contract.

And as such Kamberi has been brought in as potential cover in the event of Morelos leaving, given Rangers only have Jermain Defoe who technically, until Wednesday remains a Bournemouth player, as backup.

£150K doesn’t seem like a lot but this management have wasted millions – little value for money in the likes of Helander, Kent, Lafferty, Murphy, and a whole bunch of others who haven’t worked out – it seems Rangers are being far more careful with regards transfer fees now.

And we don’t exactly object to that.
