Leicester to make shock move for Rangers man?

Rumours have surfaced continuing to link Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester to a star Rangers player, but not to the one you might think.

Rodgers has been associated with Alfredo Morelos for some considerable time, but with yesterday’s confirmed signing of his U23 LB Calvin Bassey, could the deal for the dual English Nigerian player be part of a double move for Rodgers to secure our star LB Borna Barisic?

There is word he might be lining up a move for the Croat, and with first choice Christian Fuchs aged 34 and not getting any younger, a newer model could be the way forward and the signing of Bassey a sweetener to help Rangers replace their valuable defender.

It is of course conjecture at this point, but Rodgers is certainly in the hunt for a shock Champions League slot, and will want the best players he can get to achieve that.

And Barisic’s performances for both country and club (especially in Europe) will be highly coveted by Rodgers who will be seeking top quality for all positions be it UCL or UEL he clinches for next season.

We’ll say this, Barisic is a valuable asset and he won’t go cheap. Not even following the acquisition of Bassey.
