Hibs ‘announce’ Florian Kamberi’s price for Rangers

Rangers’ previously quietened pursuit of Hibs’ Florian Kamberi took an interesting twist with the reveal the striker will set a suitor back around just £150,000.

The Easter Road side are now wishing to wash their hands of the wantaway forward, and at just £150K he represents a borderline free transfer for any side happy to invest that cash in him, but Rangers will not be the only club looking to secure him with Hull City and other outfits looking at getting a 24-year old hitman on the cheap.

Kamberi’s CV isn’t and never was outstanding but his effort and quality in the Rangers shirt was impressive enough to at least be a squad member if not more, and at just six modest figures he’d be a very cheap addition – there’s no denying the forward is probably more like around £500,000 in value so his current price tag is tempting to say the least.

We don’t know if Steven Gerrard is actually interested in securing him permanently, because there’s just been so little talk of it since the season got called off, and all the priorities were bringing in Ianis Hagi.

But this twist will suit Rangers’ coffers all the way, and if Gerrard decides he’s worth the outlay, Kamberi will be a Rangers man before long.
