Conflicting sources created confusion over summer ‘target’…

A number of days ago we brought you the story of Florian Kamberi returning to Rangers on loan, something which had been widely accepted as true, if surprising.

It only took a national untrusted red top to claim a club source had told them it wasn’t true for some Rangers fans to believe that as fact and dismiss the original story.

We can confirm Kamberi was not at Rangers’ training, and the loan deal to push him through as a Rangers player appears to have been untrue (we can’t confirm that one), but technically Florian Kamberi’s career is now in limbo if it is.

Yes, he remains a Hibs player (which wasn’t any different as a loan at Ibrox) but there are conflicting reports as to whether he actually attended training at Hibs or is currently busy trying to manufacture a move out.

Contracted till 2022, the Swiss Albanian has been 100% clear he wants to join Rangers, but any moves to make that happen appear to be low priority at Ibrox.

Fellow January loan Ianis Hagi was signed sealed and delivered a long time ago, but despite being a fraction of the cost, Kamberi has not enjoyed the same privilege.

And now that any loan deal appears to have been a source of fiction, goodness knows what happens to Kamberi now.
