£15M bidding starts four-team battle over Alfredo Morelos

Rangers have rejected three bids for Alfredo Morelos from Dynamo Kiev, Bordeaux and Qatari side Al Duhail, with the player himself said to have dismissed the latter, while Rennes reportedly prepare their own attempt.

Rangers are looking for above £15M for the striker, but the serious interest in his services has kicked in over the past 24 hours, with Rennes also said to have prepared a large bid for his signature.

It is now looking inevitable the ex-HJK man will be sold, and with several bids now arriving, the tentative monitoring over him has now turned into hard cash as teams compete to bring him in.

Celtic sold their counterpart Moussa Dembele for £20M and Rangers would like to make similar cash on their star man, and that is now starting to look more than possible with the Qatari giants making moves on him to get the ball rolling.

Of course, he was no more interested in Qatar than he was in China, and Alfredo Morelos’ ambition remains the Premier League in England; and as yet no news on hard bids from there, but with European sides launching tangible packages to take him out of Ibrox, the first steps have now been made.

Rangers could be in line to secure a strong number for him, a number which could make a massive difference to the transfer window, and with the ball properly rolling now, the fee for him could end up being pretty significant.
