Reports: Rangers lining up blockbuster double signing

In some news many Rangers fans will be genuinely pleased at, Steven Gerrard is reported to be looking at a double summer move for two highly sought-after SPL stars in the form of Livi’s Lyndon Dykes and Aberdeen’s Lewis Ferguson.

The blockbuster moves for the striker and midfielder would be extremely popular with vast swathes of the support, with both players extremely highly rated among the majority of the fanbase, and both being Rangers fans by nature.

Ferguson was of course pipped to the YPOTY award last season by Rangers’ own Ryan Kent, but the hard-hitting midfielder is regarded as one of the brightest talents in the SPL, and naturally of course comes from the spectacular Ferguson dynasty at Ibrox, with about as good a background in Rangers as one can have, at the highest level.

As for Dykes, the prolific hitman is one we’ve covered many times on Ibrox Noise, the 24-year old excelling at a midtable Livi – he’s made it clear he wants a bigger team and league, and while Rangers can’t give him the better league, the better team part is a knockout blow.

In terms of value, Ferguson is contracted for another four years – he will not come cheap. Rangers could be looking at up to £5M for Aberdeen’s prize asset if they allegedly rejected £7M bids for McKenna. And Dykes also has a deal till summer 2022 so he won’t be pennies either. Possibly close to £2M for him.

Either way, these are two players we’d absolutely take.
