This weekend’s Old Firm clash now looks in major doubt after the Premier League and all UEFA competitions were called off.
The announcements this morning come off the back of the news we broke you earlier, that the Europa League was under threat, which, at the time, included last night’s Bayer clash, but today the decision has been confirmed that all Uefa competitions have been postponed at the best and cancelled at the worst amidst the deepening coronavirus outbreak.
Incidentally, we at Ibrox Noise would like to say thank you for the horrific abuse our content yesterday received from many of you, simply for telling you the match last night was under threat (which it was) due to the imminent decision by Uefa over the competition as a whole.
That has now come to pass, the second leg is off, and now all professional football in England is postponed for a month at least.
Meanwhile, Euro 2020 hasn’t been confirmed as postponed yet, but it 99% will.
Pretty much all sporting events globally have been axed as this virus spreads.
