Two announcements today by Rangers went slightly under the radar thanks to Steven Gerrard’s much-awaited post-winter presser – two major new additions for the club.

First of all, iconic British cosmetics, fragrances and pampering brand Molton Brown have become the new partner for products of that nature, in a huge and very understated deal which ties the club with one of the most respected brands in the UK for cosmetics.

Meanwhile, on the more ‘footballing’ side of things, Matt Konopinski, former physiotherapist at Liverpool and coming from the FA, becomes Rangers’ head of medical.

Now bear in mind we’re skint, have no money, and we’re about to go into admin2, these announcements come as a stunner to us /sarcasm.

Being serious, it’s yet more high-quality partnerships, sponsors, endorsements and appointments which only continue to enhance Rangers’ global brand.

December, we have to say, was a stunning month for this club both on and off the pitch, and the results on it have only made us more lucrative off it.

Molton Brown is a huge brand, regularly seen on shopping channels in the UK and regarded as a ‘luxury’ and high quality supplier, while Konopinski’s CV speaks for itself.

Not a bad day for Rangers fans really.

  1. Mostly thanks to Dave King, in my opinion. He deserves a lot of praise for returning our club to safe waters.
