Morelos ‘exit’ linked to Gerrard summer signing

Filip Helander has been linked with being a major reason star striker Alfredo Morelos is now a transfer target for Serie A cracks Bologna.

The Swede transferred from the red and blues this summer, and while not being a universal favourite so far, has been a preference of the manager Steven Gerrard, which has resulted in a good relationship between Rangers and the northern Italian side, leaving a link now between them and Morelos.

The Rossoblu are in the market for Atalanta’s Musa Barrow, but if that move fails to materialise they may try for Morelos, which we can tell to be a non-starter unless anyone seriously think Morelos is a good plan B to a player who is considerably inferior to him.

Unless Bologna’s plan is to go for the cheap player first, who hasn’t scored this season incidentally, and is just a bench player at Atalanta, before turning their sights on the Hollywood capture of a player who is probably out of their league.

Unless they have crazy money to spend – and we just can’t see the Colombian being remotely interested, good relationship or not.

Strange story, but it is silly season.

  1. If we do business right, Morelos will NOT leave us cheap. I think we should get every penny and perhaps a little more. If these teams are going to plunder our best talent on a yearly basis, then they must pay. the price.
