Stevie G and Rangers hit with potential 3-man final hammer blow

Rangers have been hit with a potential hammer blow after Steven
Gerrard was reported to be worried over the fitness of three key men for today’s
Betfred final.
As all fans know, team selection is key for this one, with
the right personnel and the strongest personnel certainly required, and with
that in mind stunning reports suggest Borna Barisic, Ryan Kent and Steven Davis
all have question marks over their heads.
It goes without saying Rangers need all three of these to be
in with a good chance of securing the cup, and any doubts over their fitness
clearly impacts on chances today.
Davis is an especially big worry, with claim and counter
claim over his state of health – manager Steven Gerrard failed to deny the stories,
which was a little concerning, given just how important the NI man is for his system.
Then there’s Ryan Kent, who reportedly picked up a knock
midweek – his pace is certainly needed against Celtic’s defence and the winger
has a stunning record against Celtic, and we certainly need him fit. His
invention would be sorely absent.
Lastly Barisic is looking like he may make it, but there
remains doubt over the Croat. Said to have done the majority of training midweek,
a decision will be made today. Hopefully it’s a good one.
But Rangers really do NOT want to be without any of their
star men for such a crucial match.
Fingers crossed.
