These 4 paths to greatness – Stevie G’s smiling, so will you…

We have to say the past week or two have been pretty incredible down Ibrox way – on every single front this club is credibly competing in, it’s success.

Ibrox Noise takes you through the various achievement stories we can proudly boast over the past 14 days.

Top of the SPL:

Ok, it’s joint top and we’re only behind on goal difference, but Steven Gerrard’s men have matched Celtic pretty much goal for goal and for us to be nearly at the point of tucking into our turkey, that’s extraordinary. With a budget at a fraction of what Brendan Rodgers then Neil Lennon has had, Rangers’ league attainment has been utterly magnificent. Long may it continue.

Top of the Europa League:

Where do we begin with this. Overlooking the Magnificence of Morelos, Rangers are now clear top in Group G after that excellent draw last night. It should have been a win, we should be in the last 32, but nevertheless we’re top of a group with Swiss giants Young Boys, Portuguese colossi Porto and Dutch legends Feyenoord. Astonishing going.

Betfred Final:

On the 8th of next month Steven Gerrard faces off against Neil Lennon in his first attempt at silverware. In getting there he broke a hoodoo of Rangers’ dreadful performance in domestic cups the past few years, and he has every chance of clinching the League Cup at the first attempt in a final.

Uefa Youth League:

Graeme Murty’s kids can’t be forgotten – they stomped all over Slovakian giants Slaven to book their place in the next round of the competition – 4-1 on aggregate against a strong side, aided by the brilliance of Nathan Young-Coombes and Kai Kennedy.

These are the four main paths of promise – an astonishing time to be a Bear.

  1. What an amazing turnaround in such a short space of time fuckin awesome,i would like to take this opportunity to thank Dave King for getting us back to the top,The man gave his time and money as a supporter one of us

    • And yet at today's game there was some blowhard behind me in the Enclosure who was bad mouthing King. Maybe he could explain where he thinks we would be without him. And that was the same guy who left with 25 minutes to go.

  2. The massive self-destruct button we had last season, is mostly gone. Agree with Benidorm, the King man has served us well. Put his own £££ and expertise in. Got that fat dobber Ashley, mostly off our back. He got a bit emotional, at the AGM. A 'true' Rangers man. We're in a much better place, this season. All we need, is the self-belief.

  3. The next 3 games are crucial to our season. But let me say this. If things don't go our way then please stay behind the team. We are clearly moving in the right direction and are oh so close to being the Rangers of old that we can all be proud of.
