According to Darrell Currie, Alfredo Morelos was not back in the UK yesterday following his adventures with Colombia.

As we discussed earlier, this presents a bit of a selection headache for Stevie, but aside that we do wonder why Morelos is so late.

Gerrard confirmed he expected him back a day earlier, so we’re not sure exactly what the hold up is.

We know his international career is vitally important to him and there may be legit reasons he stayed back or got held up. We’re sure the manager was kept well informed.

But we’d certainly hope his late return is nothing serious.
